What is a Mortgage Broker
Applying for a mortgage can be a complex business, and if you get even one part wrong, it can set your application back potentially by months, or even stop it completely. You might even manage to get through the application process but find that you have secured a mortgage that isn’t appropriate for your situation and you may have unaffordable repayments.
A Mortgage Broker is there to guide you through the mortgage process and ensure that your application is complete and specially selected for your circumstances. A mortgage broker will:
- Help you understand your financial situation
- Suggest the most suitable mortgage deals for your circumstances, and
- Search for deals that match your criteria
Your mortgage broker will only ever suggest deals that are affordable for you, giving you peace of mind moving forward.
What Makes Grange Mortgages Different from Our Competitors?
When Daniel Mumford formed Grange Mortgages in 2005, he was determined that the company would be different form others and offer the kind of brokerage service that he would want to receive himself. That includes consultants available 7 days a week, without two days where cannot obtain financial assistance, a separate mortgage and admin team, meaning that each side can concentrate on what they are supposed to be doing, and products picked from across the whole market, not just a limited few.
With over twenty plus dedicated staff, we can make your mortgage journey as seamless as possible, ensuring that you get the deal that you want, with the minimum of hassle to you.
We are New Build Specialists
With Government spending on new builds rising, and a commitment to build at least a million homes over the next term of parliament, there are going to be more new-build properties available on the market. Luckily, new build mortgages are one of our specialities, in fact, we are the preferred mortgage broker for many national new build developers, where our understanding of this field helps us secure funding for your purchase.
The new build market gives the buyer a huge choice of properties, and with Grange guiding you through the purchasing process, you could be in the home of your dreams in no time.

Second Homes and Buy-to Let.
With favourable market conditions over recent years, many customers are looking to progress their property portfolio with either a second property or a dedicated buy-to-let purchase. While the Government has changed the rules on buy-to-lets’ they still represent a great way to start building a healthy investment portfolio that can provide a return over the years of ownership and give you a sizable lump-sum should you finally decide to sell up.
It’s becoming sound economic sense to consider a more diverse portfolio of investments rather than just simply looking at the stock markets and you can relax in the knowledge that you have a physical asset that can be sold at a later date if need be.
Come and chat to our mortgage specialists if you are considering either buy-to-let or would like to invest in a second home, and see what deals we can help you with.
The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate most Buy to Let Mortgages.
