Building a business is all about milestones; your first client, your one-year business anniversary, your move to bigger premises. This year – 2020 – marks an amazing 15 years in business for Grange Mortgages, and in that time, we have delivered premium quality advice on mortgages, insurances across a broad range of areas, and Will-writing services.

Started as a going concern by Daniel Mumford in 2005, Grange Mortgages were conceived as a specialist broker who would add a human face to the otherwise stressful process of taking out a mortgage or securing insurance. Too many companies treat their clients as a commodity rather than as a real person in need of help, and that was something that Daniel was determined not to do. It is that personal service which is the reason Grange Mortgages has gone from strength to strength, and now employ over twenty professionals to deliver a huge range of diverse products.

Part of our success is due to reach out into the community and a willingness to engage in local activities. Our involvement with the Northampton Town FC Community Trust being one recent example. The charitable trust was set up as an affiliation between several like-minded organisations to promote a healthy, happy and connected Northamptonshire, which really fits in with the ethos we promote. Working together with Northampton Town FC, Grange Mortgages and other local companies are helping the wider community in four key areas; education, health, sport participation and disability and inclusion. Grange Mortgages are proud to be a part of this initiative and see it as helping to pay back something into a community that has supported us during the crucial years of our starting up the business and our years of continued growth.

Since 2005, we have focused on our core strengths and strived to offer a service we’d be happy to receive ourselves. It is a crowded market and difficult to set yourself apart from the competition, but we have worked with customers for many years now, helping them to move on and up the property ladder. While we specialise in mortgages and protection policies, our Wills service is aimed at helping those to plan for the future, ensuring that their wishes are followed to the letter. This, too, is a growing area of the business.

Fifteen years is a good time to settle a business into a community, and now that Grange Mortgages are an established business, our aim is to grow sustainably, while still maintaining our personal touch with our clients.
